League rules
CGHL plays by the USA Hockey Playing Rules (2025-29 edition), adult non-check classification. Below is a plain-language summary of the rules that come up most. It is a guide, not the rulebook: if this page and the rulebook ever disagree, the rulebook wins.

The full rulebook
Everything not covered here follows the USA Hockey rulebook. The casebook edition adds worked examples of tricky situations and is the best place to settle an argument. USA Hockey also publishes the rulebook as a free app on iOS and Android.
